Back to School!

Kids usually hate and parents usually love it! It’s back to school time, which hopefully means kids will be starting their life-safety and emergency preparedness drills at school for school safety. Drilling to practice with life-safety systems and to practice emergency preparedness is an integral part of life today.

One Norris employee recently noted that their middle schooler came home and recounted stories the teacher told them about encounters she’d had in which life-safety drilling and life-safety systems led to better school safety time after time.

Back to school also means there are a lot of school buses out there. Please be careful!

In the news recently, there have been stories about school resource officers (SRO) being on the rise. An SRO is an integral part of a school system’s emergency preparedness plan.

Our children often times tell us that they’re having lockdown drills at school, but what does that mean? Take a look inside a school lockdown drill and take a look  at other measures schools are taking to keep kids safe.

Drop Norris a line so we can let you know how we can help keep your kids safe.
