Founded in 1979, Norris Inc. began as a fire and security alarm installation company that provided central station monitoring and 24/7 service to customers. Two years later, Norris Inc. expanded the sale of engineered life safety fire alarm systems and later access control and video surveillance.
With an increasing number of retirement communities and nursing homes being built, Norris Inc. started selling emergency call systems, which later became hospital-grade nurse call systems, patient wandering, and other communications tools including those specific to educational environments. From there Norris Inc. grew to provide other communications technologies including; overhead public address, professional sound reinforcement, clock and time control, tel-data networks, mass notification and emergency communication systems.
Today, with nearly four decades of experience, Norris Inc. is part of Minuteman Security Technologies, Inc. (www.minutemanst.com), New England’s largest privately owned systems integrator.
