recognition for hard work, well-done.
In keeping with the tradition
established with our 2018 Top 5, we’d like to close out the 2019 News Cycle
with a look back at the Top 5 News Stories from Norris Inc.
Number 1
Norris
Deploys Large-Scale, First-of-its-Kind IP-Based Paging/Intercom and Video
System in Vermont. Norris in 2019 pulled out all the IP stops and helped
modernize life-safety, security, and communications at Mount Abraham Unified
School District in Bristol, Vermont. The project was lead by Norris Systems
Integrator Dame
Diette and shepherded on the school district side by Facilities Director Joel
Fitzgerald. The large, integrated IP system consists of a 6-school
paging/intercom system and a new district-wide IP CCTV system, as well.
Further, the system is a first of its kind in Vermont. According to Norris
Systems Integrator for Vermont Diette it was an intricate process.

Co-Founder, Chairman of the Board Honored by ASIS Maine Chapter. Brad Norris and
his brother Harty co-founded
Norris Inc. nearly 40 years ago with the following mission: “Norris Inc.
strives to help businesses and organizations create a safe environment by
providing quality engineered systems for security, life safety, and
communications along with unparalleled service and support.” Norris’ devotion
to his professional development included his active participation in the
security industry’s leading professional development society the American
Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), particularly focusing close to home in
the Society’s Maine Chapter. On Thursday, April 11, 2019, Norris was
honored by the Maine Chapter at their monthly meeting for all of his selfless
and tireless energy and time working on behalf of the society making the
security profession more professional. Of the honor, ASIS Maine Chapter
Assistant Regional VP Bruce Lewis
said Norris was well-deserving.

Honored With 2019 Diamond Award At Annual Notifier Regional Celebration Night.
Norris Inc. on Wednesday, October 9, 2019, was honored with the Diamond Award
at Fire Alarm Manufacturer Notifier’s annual Regional Celebration Night. The
evening was an opportunity for Notifier to recognize successful partnerships
but was served another important purpose according to Norris Chief Sales
Officer, Peter Reed, who noted that networking made the fun event even more
valuable. “It’s always nice to be recognized for our year-long efforts and
commitment to the brand, but the night is about much more than that,” Reed
explained. “Spending an evening mingling with your peers in the industry,
discussing service and sales models, sharing new ideas on workflow, and
overcoming old pain points and frustrations – that’s what we appreciate most
from these get-togethers.”

Inc’s New Year’s Resolution? Save Customers Money With AES Network. Norris
Inc. likes to give back and to help out the community. Norris also likes to
help protect lives and property with the best, engineered life-safety and
security systems. We’ve also made a New Year’s Resolution to help our customers
save money! In New Year’s Norris news, Northern New England’s premier
life-safety and security experts, have expanded our AES mesh network by 100 new
radios in the Greater Portland Maine Area.

Showcasing Life-saving Products and Technologies at Upcoming Events.
Norris Inc. is about protecting lives and property. We’re technology experts

end, Norris personnel and partners were on hand at a couple of upcoming events

First up, Norris presented Bi-Directional
Amplifiers (BDA) and SWIFT Wireless technologies to the New Hampshire Fire
Prevention Society. Next, Norris presented the BDA technology, its AES
radio network, and its powerful emergency notification platform and integration
engine Vigilance at the Maine
Fire Chiefs’ Association Professional Development Conference at Sunday
River Ski Resort.
