Making daily decisions that impact our customers’ security, life safety, and communications systems means that we take our jobs very seriously, but even in our line of work we come across things that are pretty entertaining. One frequent source of often cringe-worthy amusement comes from surveillance videos catching people either off guard or in the act.

We have scoured the viral web to bring you the Surveillance Video of the Month series, and since we will be posting them on Friday afternoons, you’re even allowed to laugh.

This surveillance video from scandalim.ru catches an unfortunate employee in a Russian cognac and vodka warehouse losing control of his forklift and destroying an estimated $150k dollars’ worth of alcohol.

Hopefully this company had a workplace emergency response protocol in place in the event of complete warehouse shelving collapse, but if not, we bet they do now! Either way, we are happy to report that the driver of the forklift was fortunate enough to escape the wreckage with only a minor leg injury and no one else was injured.

And because it is our job, let us point out that this is a great example of how having surveillance cameras in the workplace is beneficial for so much more than just catching criminal behavior.

Happy Friday!
